I’ll be the first to admit it, I sometimes found myself struggling to follow a routine built off my personalized recommendations.
It got even worse for me after we launched SelfDecode 2.0. With up to 35 million genetic variants analyzed to give me the most accurate recommendations, I literally wanted to implement every single thing from my reports.
But even after I’d calmed down, I found myself constantly jumping between my DNA reports, trying to make sure I didn’t miss any recommendation for the day.
This took up too much of my time, and I would get lost going back and forth.
You see, setting health goals is important. But to actually reach those goals, it is extremely important to build an easy-to-follow regimen that’ll help you get there – without it feeling like a chore.
With SelfDecode 1.0, we weren’t capable of building something that’d help you do that.
But now, I’m super excited to announce our latest addition to SelfDecode 2.0, My Regimen!
My Regimen will help you build a personalized roadmap to a happier, healthier you.
How To Build Your Regimen
Now, all it takes is a click of a button to start creating your easy-to-follow regimen.
In every report, you will find an “Add To My Regimen” button next to each recommendation.
Any recommendation you add – from any report – will be included on your “My Regimen” page.
Once you’re done going through all of your reports and adding your recommendations, you can find your complete regimen on the “My Regimen” page.
This is probably the most powerful page on SelfDecode. It includes everything you need to optimize your health, and it’s all personalized based on your genes.
This is what the start of my regimen currently looks like:
It has become a thousand times easier to follow my plan and implement a healthy regimen into my life.
Setting Frequency and Duration
After the My Regimen page is filled with your recommendations, the next step is to add the frequency and duration.
Frequency is how often you want to implement this into your life, whereas Duration is how long it’ll be a part of your regimen.
For example, based on my recommendations, I need to get light exposure everyday. I already know that works for me. But I’m also testing out using St. John’s Wort every day for 3 weeks to see if it works.
This will really help you follow a set routine to help you reach your health goals.
We’re already working on upgrading this feature soon so that frequency and duration are automatically filled out for you!
“What To Avoid” In My Regimen
Many people tend to focus so much on what they should add to their regimen, that they forget about what they should avoid.
It is equally important to get rid of things in your life that are holding you back from reaching your health goals!
That’s why we’ve also added a “What To Avoid” section in My Regimen.
Many recommendations from your DNA Reports include things that you should avoid. They shouldn’t be overlooked, and it’s super important that you also add these into your regimen.
