How often do you rely on external factors to help motivate you or get you out of a slump?
You start feeling a little unhappy, or maybe you’re experiencing some burnout from work, but instead of focusing on making small changes in your day to day life, you put all of your eggs in one basket – a vacation.
A few days or weeks of a life filled with no responsibilities to help you recharge for the remaining 244 working days of the year. 😰
But when you get back to real life, nothing has changed. Now, you’re probably feeling even worse because the countdown until the next vacation is longer.
But what if I told you that you can change that?
You can consistently feel happy, satisfied, motivated, creative, energized, and so much more – without relying on the temporary fix of a vacation (although that doesn’t hurt every once in a while either 😉)
People are looking for one big explosion that can completely change their life around.
But the truth is, getting better is about making small changes every day that accumulate until you’ve finally reached your goals.
That’s what I did to get to where I am today, but my journey was longer since I started way before the technology of SelfDecode existed.
I had to go through a lot of trial and error and researching my genes, but I started discovering what worked for me, and I would slowly keep adding new supplements, adjusting my diet, and implementing lifestyle changes until I made my perfect regimen.
If SelfDecode existed back then, here are the steps that I would take.
If SelfDecode Could Travel Back In Time
My main focuses would still be the same, but my approach to optimize them would be different – and 100x faster.
Priority #1 – Mood
Priority #2 – Brain Fog and Mental Clarity
My first step would be to view my Brain Health Summary Report, which has all the reports that can help me optimize priority #1 and #2
With depression and anxiety, it’s hard to do anything. Even sleep isn’t as restorative.
The Report shows me that I have a typical likelihood for Anxiety and Stress, and a higher likelihood for Low Mood.
By taking five minutes to look at my genetic risks and the genes responsible for these scores, I’ve cut out years of research time, literally.
It took me a couple of years to discover the genes that were causing my low mood and then an additional few months to find the supplements to counteract them.
In the SelfDecode case, I just opened the recommendations tab and one of the first supplement recommendations was 5-HTP, my life-changing supplement that I often talk about.
My next goal was to get rid of my brain fog and improve my mental clarity and focus.
The Brain Health Summary Report told me that one of the top recommendations to get rid of brain fog is L-Theanine.
Your brain is highly sensitive to the effects of oxidative stress and inflammation – two of the main factors that cause “brain fog” and other cognitive problems.
The PARP1 gene helps repair your DNA from damage – but in the process, it also activates inflammatory responses. Therefore, your PARP1 levels need to be held in a delicate balance to ensure optimal health.
I carry the genetic variant that isn’t great at keeping this balance, so L-theanine helped me take that next step towards optimal health.
Taking The Next Steps
Once I had improved those two health topics, I felt a snowball effect take place. By optimizing my brain health, I was able to focus on foundational components like improving my sleep, starting to exercise, and reducing my inflammation.
What had taken my years to figure out would have taken me a couple of hours at the most by using SelfDecode.
I would’ve saved myself from years and years of struggling with health topics and would have started working towards my goals much sooner.
Starting your health journey has never been easier, and SelfDecode gives you the roadmap to improve any health topic important to you.
