Who is Bryan Johnson?
Bryan Johnson is the entrepreneur behind Venmo who spends 2 million dollars a year on his health to slow his aging. I spend 20k dollars a year on my health, with better results.
He has thrown down a challenge that whoever has better results than him should show them and what they do. So that is what I’m doing.
I did not start out healthier than Bryan, and in fact I was significantly less healthy. At a certain point, I was physically disabled and couldn’t work or go to school. My personalized regimen allowed me to completely fix these 60 health problems.
My Thoughts on Bryan Johnson
On a personal level, I have spoke with Bryan once and I quite like him. We are both competitive and I like that he has thrown down a challenge.
I also love that he takes a data driven approach and isn’t dogmatic. He says here’s what I’m doing, and here’s my results.
I wish we had more people like Bryan who are tinkering, testing and sharing so that we can see what a given individual does and what their results are.
Instead, most gurus go around talking about their beliefs and talk about how great they feel, but don’t talk about what their data says.
So, overall, I’m a big fan of the data approach. However, I believe the Bryan’s Blueprint protocol breaks down by implicitly assuming that the blueprint would work for other people. I believe people need their own customized blueprint’s.
