In my last blog posts, I talked about how precision health changed my life and why I chose to be a CEO instead of an influencer.
But why start SelfDecode at all? Why not continue with SelfHacked and podcasting?
A few years ago, I was speaking to a very famous health influencer who was a fan of mine, and he couldn’t understand why I started SelfDecode. He thought I should focus on podcasting and writing blog articles.
Things were going well, and I could have had a successful career in podcasting and writing. However, I knew that the future of healthcare is personalization and that what works for me doesn’t necessarily work for other people.
Because the software to actually have personalized health was not there, I felt like it was my calling to move away from educating people directly in a generic manner, and rather build the tools to educate people in a personalized way.
There’s no limited number of gurus that promise the world and how to 10X everything but the kitchen sink. I’ve tried all of it, and NOTHING worked for me. This is why I never tell people to copy what I do blindly or how to 10X anything.
Instead, I try to understand what makes us different, and why different approaches work for different people. The SelfDecode software is the comprehensive platform that I’ve been tirelessly working on with a talented team for the past 6 years designed in order to do exactly that.
The way to improve yourself is not “do what works for Joe”, it’s do what works for your own genetic blueprint. This is why I’m passionate about precision health.
The only method that worked for me was understanding my own body better and following a personalized approach for me. That’s it.
If I wouldn’t have built SelfDecode, I would be like every other influencer basically explaining what works for me or giving general advice. I didn’t have time to be everyone’s health coach.
And there simply weren’t precision tools out for me to recommend.
So, I felt like the best way to have the most impact in the world was by building tools that people can use to optimize their own health.
You are unique and your path to optimal health is also unique.
Next Steps for Me
In order to follow the roadmap that I laid out, I had to focus the vast majority of my time on being a CEO in the past year and I didn’t really have time to connect with the SelfDecode community, as you might know.
Biohacking myself using tools like SelfDecode has made me so much more resilient than ever, and has helped me immensely in my role as a CEO.
My personal outcomes have surpassed anything I would’ve ever imagined that my body and mind are capable of.
Even a small health change can have a massive impact on the trajectory of the rest of your life – financial, social, romantic and otherwise.
I’ve had to wear a hundred different hats, being involved in all aspects of the company. At the same time, my social life and happiness levels have never been better.
At this stage, it’s starting to become clear that we are building so many cutting-edge tools, but we are not communicating what we are releasing and how to best use the tools to optimize your health.
Fortunately, during that time, I’ve been able to hire a very qualified leadership team that allows me to become more involved with the SelfDecode community. It will give me time to show you how you can use the tools we built to drastically improve your health.
I’m going to start writing blog posts, answering member questions in my monthly webinars, and restarting a podcast, among other things.
From this stage and on, I promise only interesting content.
Until next time 😉
