“All your blood tests came back normal, you’re perfectly healthy.”
Before I got into genetics and biohacking, these words were constantly echoed by every doctor I visited.
But that was definitely not the case, as I was battling with a myriad of symptoms, including fatigue, brain fog, bloating, and much more.
So, why were they saying my lab results were normal?
You see, just because your labs are in the “normal range,” it doesn’t mean they’re optimal. When medical doctors look at your results, they’re looking at them through a black and white lens. You’re either sick or you’re not, so the normal range tends to be very broad because of that mindset.
For example, Vitamin B12 levels – which are significant for energy levels – are considered normal if they’re between 200-900pg/mL. There is a huge difference between the low and the high, but anyone that falls within that range is put under the same category.
In reality, the optimal level is 500pg/mL or above. If you had levels of 200pg/mL, your doctor will probably not even mention anything. In truth, you are extremely below the optimal range.
That’s why I still felt horrible even though doctors said nothing was wrong with me. It wasn’t until I found out the importance of getting your results into the ideal levels that my life started changing.
Get Your Results To Optimal Levels with Lab Test Analyzer
SelfDecode has always been working towards providing you with the full picture of your health.
I’m SUPER excited to announce that we have launched our Lab Test Analyzer with SelfDecode.
Previously, we offered this as a completely separate app, and we had many customers for this, but given that labs are extremely important, we felt that they should be combined in one app.
Now you’ll be able to analyze your labs and genetics all in one app – for the price of one!
Analyzing your labs with our Lab Test Analyzer feature will allow you to more easily optimize your health.
With Lab Test Analyzer, you’ll be able to upload your lab test results, see which labs are suboptimal, and receive actionable suggestions to get your levels to the optimal range.
After you upload your labs, you can filter the results by the specific health area you are interested in – like gut health, fatigue, heart health, and more – so you’ll be able to see all the lab markers associated with the health issue you’re trying to solve.
This tool contains over 800 lab markers, shows you results that fall outside of the optimal range and provides personalized diet, lifestyle and supplement recommendations to improve your levels.
In addition, we’ll add any lab marker that you request. Just shoot us an email and within a few weeks it’ll be in our system.
Tracking Your Results
With Lab Test Analyzer, you have an unlimited number of lab result uploads so you can easily track your progress over time.
Once you implement your lifestyle changes and take new tests in a couple months time, you can upload your new labs and analyze your results to determine whether or not the changes you made have been beneficial for you.
We’ve also made it extremely easy for you to upload your results with our drag and drop functionality. Just upload your lab results file (in PDF format or you can even just take a picture of your physical copy and use that) and Lab Test Analyzer will automatically input all your results into your profile.
Labs vs Genetics
Genetics are the blueprint of your body. You can find out so much personalized information about your body and more precise ways about how to be healthier based on your genetics.
However, as we all know genetics is not the full story. Environmental factors also play a big role in your health.
Imagine you have a blueprint of a building. You might go in the building and see everything working great, or it can be in complete disrepair. In both cases the blueprint is the same, but the current state of the building can be drastically different.
Your labs come in handy by showing you the current state of affairs in your body. In addition, they allow you to track your results over time as you implement strategies to improve your health.
The basic labs that most people get from their doctor can be super insightful about how to improve your health with the right tools to analyze them.
Both your genetics and lab results can be a rich source of information to find strategies to implement that will make you healthier, but you can only objectively track your progress with your labs.
